They also include other brass band instruments in their 'Virtuosi' range (Euphonium, Baritone, Tenor Horn etc), endorsed by some of the leading UK brass band players. Sep 27, 2005 · European shank tuba .59 Kaiser shank tuba .61 They have large bore trombone mouthpieces listed as the same receiver diameter as the small-shank tuba, which would agree with my ability to use the same VB 6.5 on my bass trombone that I do on my Eb tuba, except that I just ordered and received one, and it doesn't fit very well at all.

Jan 21, 2013 · Yes, the note placement in the BBb tuba part equals the placement in the imaginary tenor-clef-one-octave-down. I can transpose, but didn’t need it in brass band except when playing from the BBb part on an Eb. And then there are various reading methods depending on the player’s background. I once was a brass band ringer on bassbone.

Mar 11, 2015 · A Rudolf Meinl, Alexander, or Hirsbrunner Bb tuba intended for the German pro market is much more expensive than what Bb tubas will fetch in the U.S., with few exceptions. Of course, in those parts of Europe, the default instrument is an F tuba, which is even more responsive and nimble than a C tuba.

Nov 14, 2009 · Eb soprano cornet, Bb cornet, Eb tenor horn, Bb baritone and Euphonium, Bb trombone, Eb and Bb tuba. (and yes, the two tuba parts are often somewhat different). The Eb tuba part can be read as bass clef by adding 3 flats (and adjusting accidentals as appropriate) just as one can read an Eb horn part as bass clef in this manner.
