In order to be admitted to degree studies the candidate should have attained a minimum number of points. Refer to each programme on the reverse side of this pamphlet to determine the number of points required. The attached table indicates how points are allocated.

Please refer to each faculty’s admission requirements, available here, to determine the number of points required for the desired programme. In addition to point score requirements mentioned above, specific programme admission requirements are also listed.

To qualify for undergraduate admission at UWC, applicants must meet the following criteria: National Senior Certificate (NSC): A certified NSC or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 50% in four 20-credit subjects. NSC must include university exemption. Admission Points Score (APS): UWC calculates your APS based on your NSC results.

The UWC points table to the right indicates how points are allocated. For admission to degree and diploma programmes UWC uses a weighted system for calculating points.
