Dec 6, 2022 · I've heard that Ullr is the same god as Hǫðr, both representing winter (Hǫðr's blindness is supposed to be a symbol of winter darkness according to this theory). I've even heard someone connect Ullr to the Proto Indo European god Wélṇos (Baltic Vẽlinas and Slavic Veles, and maybe Vedic Varuṇa), but I am not convinced of that.
