H&R vs VWR lowering springs- I bought em both... - GOLFMK7
Dec 29, 2014 · VWR seems to be more sensible choice, lowering isn't bad, but isn't enough, but hey i can save $650-700 bucks. Click to expand... They coilovers are nice though for the track and since they practically equal up to the same price after buying shocks, it's worth the investment if you can afford to dish out the money all at once.
VWR R600 Part 2 - Install and final thoughts - GOLFMK7
Mar 25, 2015 · VWR claims this is vastly larger than the stock airbox - it MIGHT be 1.5 times the size of the stock unit in terms of internal volume, but that doesn't really matter when you're sucking air from holes as big as there are in both the OEM airbox and this R600 unit.
Mild drop: Neuspeed Sport or VWR springs? - GOLFMK7
Aug 4, 2016 · Tried searching, lots of VWR vs H&R but not Neuspeed. Looking for any info on both setups, pics etc. Price isn't an issue.. Better ride quality is. Had Koni coils in my 08 GTI, totally regretted it. I appreciate any input! Safe travels!
VWR Springs Review (Visual on stock wheels/shocks)
Dec 19, 2020 · Here is a video review explaining what the vwr springs look like, and drive like when combo with factory wheels and shocks. The wheels in this video are VW Pretoria's but still the same spec as your traditional Austin wheels.
Thinking of VWR Springs for MK7 GTI 18" - GOLFMK7
Jan 27, 2018 · Almost everyone will tell you VWR springs are great, but there is also a large group that will warn you your shocks/struts will wear quickly and be done for about 15k miles after you get the springs. Stock shock/struts aren't designed for shortened springs, so most people replace them with upgraded ones like Bilstein B8s.
Anyone running the VWR Springs/Strut kit? - GOLFMK7
Nov 16, 2018 · The VWR kit feels very "OEM-like". The ride is still compliant and comfortable. I won't lie and say its as smooth or cushioned as stock, but its akin to the suspension in a sportier factory car if that makes sense.
Vwr lower engine mount install - GOLFMK7
Mar 17, 2017 · Just from looking at the vwr mount it should be sturdier. im getting closer to the Revo mount just for pricing reasons. My original thought was if you're gonna replace the lower you may as well replace the upper too, since the lower bolts into the upper.
Open VS. Closed Element Intakes - GOLFMK7
Dec 15, 2014 · - The VWR intake has a heat shield system, and draws air from the engine bay. - This intake seemed to produce some compressor surge where the APR system has almost no discernible surge. We obviously weren't able to check compressor wheel speed so it's tough to say whether there are any effects on the compressor speed with either system.
Which lowering springs should I go with? - GOLFMK7
Jun 8, 2021 · Looking good!! I've heard good things about VWR as well but they are advertised as ~1.4 drop which is a bit more than i wanted. Also read a few complaints about VWR bottoming out more than EMD? I believe EMD and VWR are comparable as they are both on the softer side of lowering springs but VWR bottoming out more due to it bring a lower drop.
VWR or Eibach Pro springs? - GOLFMK7
May 10, 2018 · You'll bottom out easier with VWR. Eibach is going to be stiffer, but that's sort of the price you pay for not bottoming out. We were saying go Emmanuel Design, but they could have bottoming out issues as well, as they aren't all that stiff. These are probably a good compromise and on sale right now.
