overall, favourite i’ve owned is probably my first WRB wrx, was a 2003 bugeye. Nicest one is probably my current 2007 WRX, unfortunately haven’t had an STI but i’ve been in lots of them. the best of all worlds for WRX would probably be 2002/3, the best of all worlds STI is probably 2005.

The earlier ones can sometimes be better with the 2.0L due to thicker cylinder walls. WRX 5-speeds can be a bit dodgy and start to break once you start pushing about 300~hp if you're driving it hard.
