Why is the AGS going to 11.0? I may be biased since it is my favourite tank, but why is the AGS getting moved up to 11.0? In my opinion it was fine at 10.3. The shell it has is nothing fancy and the M833 it is getting is ok, but compared to other tanks at 11.0 looks worse on paper.

Nov 14, 2024 · The AGS can’t use the M900 round. Only the Abrams and later the M1128 MGS can use it. M900 didn’t even exist at the time the AGS was around.

Jan 26, 2024 · 2S25M’s pros when compared to AGS are basically rounds and thermals, meanwhile it’s cons are worse mobility, reload speed, gun handling, gun depression and the fact it has a much larger and manned turret that will get spotted much easier.

Jan 27, 2024 · The AGS can’t use its depression because even hull-down if the turret is shot at least half of the crew is dead. The 2S25M has more armor on the front, and the difference elsewhere is just 5mm, regardless the AGS can be 0.50 cal’ed.
