Feb 21, 2024 · I would suggest that depends on the size of the caravan you wish to tow. The only points I can add are the obvious ones that petrol cars are thirstier than diesel …and lighter. I towed a 1500kg caravan at 95% with the 2.3Turbo XC70 all over Europe with no issues at all.
