Apr 19, 2018 · It was built without enough XLR inputs on the stage and it would be very costly to add additional cables. We do have some spare cat5 cables so I'm looking for recommendations of a cost effective solution to run approx 8 ways of balanced audio over it, any advice appreciated!

I've built my own XLR>Cat5 prototypes for carrying system controller data lines through standard XLR snakes and it works great, but I'm a little confused on how 4 channels of XLR can go through a single cat5 that only has 8 conductors.
