Oct 3, 2022 · I noticed when it cuts out the EGT’S will go from 350-400 and drop straight to about 250-270 degrees. Boost gauge will be reading anywhere from 14-17psi but the egt’s won’t climb and the car won’t build boost even though it’s reading it.

Oct 17, 2024 · After driving out from the car wash I went around a roundabout and when I put it in to 3rd, all power to the engine just cut out. I’ve read somewhere this could be just a limp mode, any thoughts? Did the check engine light come on?

Dec 17, 2014 · It is fairly common on early ZD30 vintage that they have vacuum leak in either hosees or the vac cylinder/reservoir so turbo vanes will not open fully. You can check it easily by starting the engine and at idle see if turbo actuator lifts up against the stop bolt and stays there not fluctuating up/down.

Mar 8, 2015 · This does sound like fuel rail pressure problem or possibly accelerator pedal sensor playing up which is known problem on ZD30 with common rail (CrD) injection system.

Mar 27, 2021 · replace the filter, fit a clear fuel hose and check for bubbles. split fuel hoses and leaking primer are common causes. blocked up filters make it worse. Yep, I would go with Tweakes, he is a guru mate. I found a split hose directly under the protective sleeve around the fuel line to the pump on mine.
