Apr 16, 2024 · Selling my Verite Open Purple Heart. It is in decent condition, but there are chips in the paint on the ear-cup arms, and one of the cups has a crack. I've contacted ZMF and confirmed this has zero effect on the sound, and is just aesthetic.

The build is actually very good for a headphone because they used a magnesium-alloy frame. The cups are the stars of the show. They just look phenomenal and just by looking at them, you know that you have a luxury item.

It's seriously a stunner and so unique among the other ZMF wood types these days. Under dimmer/cloudy lighting, the color is a deep, majestic maroon. Under direct sunlight, it takes on more of that special "purpleheart" color.

Jan 13, 2019 · Two normal configurations for me, purple hearts + zmf perforated sheepskin pads and ebony with the zmf ori protein pads. In this config I really like the purplehearts. They seem very good but still bass forward. Not as strong of a fan of the ebony.
