Jan 18, 2025 · One reason I liked the recent "The Trial of Jack the Ripper" was that the mock jury heard arguments against three suspects and chose the one they found most likely. Of course we can argue why these three and if they made the right decision, but at least they heard skilled arguments against three reasonable suspects.

Oct 11, 2024 · Yes, this isn't a question of how likely it is that Aaron Kosminski is Jack the Ripper; the question is how likely Kosminski is Jack the Ripper IF he killed Stride. It's a conditional probability. Lewis, I think the 2/3 chance she was a Ripper victim, 1/3 she wasn't might be your baseline given the current evidence. Many are on the fence like this.

If there is anything to Geological Profiling, the Ripper may well have lived much closer than 25 minutes. I personally think he lived and/or worked in the immediate area, which would enable him to get to know the area more intimately, perhaps, than ...

Oct 30, 2024 · To take our Admin hat off, I would say that Jack the Ripper is an oddity. It is a small isolated case that has the distinction of being the first, and decades ago, would have been one of the few that would have allowed enough research for the True Crime Community to research and discuss.

Dec 11, 2024 · "Dear Boss" and "Saucy Jack" were likely written by the fantasist Bury; ergo, Bury was "Jack the Ripper." "From Hell" was written by the real Whitechapel Murderer, who butchered several women. When Bury strangled his wife out of rage and then inflicted a deliberate post mortem abdominal wound, he was living out his fantasy.
