Jul 13, 2022 · I grew up in Peoria and moved to Chicago at 18. Spent 7 years in Chicago and then the last two years in Madison, WI. My wife and I are moving back to Peoria because Chicago was too big after we passed our mid 20s and Madison is great but outrageously expensive if you’re trying to own a home. Peoria has almost everything we want.
