The Rohingya people (/ r oʊ ˈ h ɪ n dʒ ə,-ɪ ŋ j ə /; Rohingya: 𐴌𐴗𐴥𐴝𐴙𐴚𐴒𐴙𐴝, romanized: ruáingga; IPA: [rʊˈɜi̯ɲ.ɟə]) are a stateless ethnic group who predominantly follow Islam [8] [14] [15] and reside in Rakhine State, Myanmar.

The Rohingya genocide is a series of ongoing persecutions and killings of the Muslim Rohingya people by the military of Myanmar.
