@AgentButterfly25 Try moving the entire Mods folder to the desktop and allowing the game to create a new one. If that doesn't help, download a fresh copy of one mod or cc item confirmed compatible with patch 1.96 and add it to the new Mods folder, but nothing else, and test. If that doesn't help either, let me know what antivirus you use.

DO NOT move Documents to an external drive. If you would like to store your Sims 3 user folder externally, please use this guide instead, substituting Sims 3 for 4 where appropriate. Please also keep in mind that when you change the location of Documents, you also change the location where Sims 3 looks for its user folder.

To make a long story short I downloaded some custom content yesterday and it wasn't until I went into game and allowed custom content that my sims decided it wasn't going to open again. I've been through all the threads, already deleted all my mods, deleted the sims entirely and redownloaded it, repaired it in the EA app, etc, etc, etc.
