Aug 26, 2016 · We live in the Del Webb Stone Creek community which is adjacent to OTOW. Been here almost 3 years. I and DW are 60/58 and are at the younger end of the age range but there are quite a few others our age. We looked at a lot of communities including The Villages and OTOW. Stone Creek is much younger than either and also smaller.

We traveled from CT to VA and saw relatives, then onto SC where a relative fell ill and required an extra stay of 3 days helping them out. Then it was on to The Villages where old friends have purchased a second home.

Feb 29, 2024 · Looking back, the move to The Villages is one of the best decisions we ever made. We truly love it here. We have a very large group of friends and we are involved in many activities. We plan to stay here as long as possible. As far as finances go, we were, of course, concerned about the money end of things when we retired.

Jan 22, 2025 · I think the Villages is unique in that it's got national appeal to a demographic. I see no reason to live in florida somewhere I can't drive to the beach for afternoon! But down here in SE fla, particularly once you get about 5 miles or more inland, 55+ neighborhoods are more common - especially in areas that were built up in the last 30 years ...

Apr 21, 2022 · Sorrento is just a jumping off point and a fine base, but the beauty of the coast and the villages is the draw for the social media savvy. I know things are more limited in the offseason, but I hope April is just fine.
