Behringer XR18 / Midas MR18 - The Gear Page
May 11, 2017 · If the Midas had integrated a better router and/or added more effects engines in addition to the better preamps, I'd have considered upgrading but as it stands it is not worth it to me and I will stick with the XR18. In fact, the Midas dropped the 2 Hi-Z inputs which (although somewhat noisy) have been helpful.
Behringer XR18 vs the Midas? - The Gear Page
Aug 14, 2019 · Somewhere on Gearslutz there's a tear-down comparison between the MR-18 and the XR-18, iirc the Midas has an extra board for its preamps and an improved power supply. I went for the Midas due having played through one of their posh live boards, didn't get the Mackie 'cos I was upgrading from a 1202 and fancied a different 'flavor'.

Jan 21, 2024 · ST39's budget limits probably make adding P16-Ms or a Midas output unit moot. But the ability to bounce some combination of main mix, auxes, and channel inputs across stage would let you combine an XR18, a Midas DN4816-O, and either a racked multichannel headphone amp or else one or more of the inexpensive …

May 11, 2017 · Well since I created this post I pulled the trigger on the Midas MR18. Again, I'm the guy that would rather spend an extra couple of hundred dollars and get what is "supposed to be better", rather than potentially finding out the hard way after the fact by buying the less expensive one. I am confident that the XR18 is awesome.
Digital mixer for live sound and recording | The Gear Page
Dec 19, 2023 · Very happy with the MR18 (Midas' version of the Behringer XR18) except the wifi module is notoriously sketchy in high RF venues. I use a tiny travel router/wifi plugged into the ethernet port and with that it is excellent. The travel router …

Jan 21, 2024 · Having heard both the CQ-18T and the XR18 in a live context, all of them sound great for live use. If you are going to use the mixer in a studio setting in which the minor preamp differences between the Midas and Behringer lines will make a significant difference, the MR18 may be justifiable over the XR18.
Behringer XR18 as a USB to MIDI interface? And other questions.
Jul 18, 2021 · 1. Does anyone know if I can use the Behringer XR18 as a USB to MIDI interface? I do not mean can I use the XR18 as a USB to audio interface. I do not mean can I control the Behringer XR18 via USB. I am not referring to any kind of audio signal at all, just a MIDI signal via USB from the computer to the MIDI out of the XR18. 2.
Behringer XR18 - how many rack U? - The Gear Page
Mar 22, 2015 · Because the XR18 is rack built I could just get a simple Gator 8 space plastic case (much lighter/cheaper) and call it a day. 2. We all use the Shure PSM200's and I have 2 in my rack and the inputs are on the front. Because the XR18 aux outs are on the front it would be super clean (short 1" XLR cables) for at least 2 of us. 3.

Dec 24, 2017 · Has anyone compared the XR18 to the Midas MR-18? Supposedly the real Midas preamps in the MR-18 are lower noise/higher output, and the XLR inputs are Neutrik. Do you think it's worth the additional $280?
XR18 took a dump. - The Gear Page
Aug 13, 2019 · The Midas looks like the Behr XR18 but weighs 1.5 pounds more. I guess it has a stronger power supply, Midas mic pres, so that and the Neutrik connectors are why it's heavier. I also bought a bag for the MR, Apple assurance for the …
