Apr 22, 2024 · I have not used a mill myself, but in addition to spices like nutmeg, I use my microplane for zest, ginger, garlic, and hard cheeses. So a microplane is much more versatile. Also as an aside I want to note that in a lot of recipes, freshly-grated nutmeg is head and shoulders over pre-ground. Like the difference between fresh and dried ginger.

Nutmeg Is a very enjoyable high. Comparable to weed or something of that nature. Although I always grated the nutmeg fresh, it was organic and I made a tea. Maybe low grade nutmeg isn't meant to be taken in such a way. But yeah, it's a good high tbh. Presuming you stick to like a single nut and don't go crazy.

I know that I can go through a day without nutmeg. And I could do it when I was in my 3rd month of regular use. Even now I can be sober everyday but my mind makes me to use it.
