Definetly take the second skin off, if the surface has been breached, it can promote infections rather than prevent it. If you have more second skin you can definitely re-apply for a couple days if you want to, or you can let it heal the old school way like others are suggesting, just a personal preference at this point.

Oct 29, 2023 · Also, I find that normal stencil transfer gels don't work well on fake skin. Good ol' speedstick performs much better. If you can, hit the skin with a blow-dryer after you apply your stencil. Just enough so you can feel the heat on the back of the material. That makes my stencils stick much better throughout the tattoo.

I thought it was infected so I went to the docs and they said the healing is normal and unless I had other symptoms such as pus, fever etc then it's fine.
