Migaku has taken over Watson’s Counter original location—Watson’s moved to 24th Ave NW in 2023, but just closed permanently in December.. The owners of Belltown’s Karaage Setsuna are behind the new restaurant. Chefs Migaku Inaba and Toshikazu Sakuma will be heading up the kitchen.

The Seattle Landmarks Preservation Board will consider the community center for landmark status on Feb. 5. According to the landmark application, the Sunset Hill Improvement Club started in 1922 when a group of Ballard residents wanted the city to build a short line water pipe to the area.
