New Japanese restaurant Migaku opens on 15th Ave NW
Jan 2, 2025 · A new sushi restaurant has opened at 6201 15th Ave NW. Migaku has taken over Watson’s Counter original location—Watson’s moved to 24th Ave NW in 2023, but just closed permanently in December.. The owners of Belltown’s Karaage Setsuna are behind the new restaurant. Chefs Migaku Inaba and Toshikazu Sakuma will be heading up the kitchen.

The Ballard SeafoodFest brings about 75,000 people to the neighborhood every summer for three days of live music, art, activities, and, of course, plenty of seafood.. This year’s festival will be from July 12 to 14. Returning this year is the Festi-Bowl, the all-ages, all-abilities skateboard event.

Sunset Hill Community Hall may become a protected landmark
Dec 31, 2024 · The 95-year-old Sunset Hill Community Hall (3003 NW 66th St) might become a city landmark.. The Seattle Landmarks Preservation Board will consider the community center for landmark status on Feb. 5. According to the landmark application, the Sunset Hill Improvement Club started in 1922 when a group of Ballard residents wanted the city to build a short line water pipe to the area.

Oct 7, 2024 · There’s a new bar and restaurant on Ballard Ave: Roam has just opened at 5105 Ballard Ave NW. Roam is in the space where Ballard Loft used to operate, which closed in July. Roam owner Nicole Healy told My Ballard that the concept has been “a long-standing vision” that has “developed over many years in the industry.”
